What is CarPAL?

CarPAL is a driver application platform that remotely tracks vehicle and driving performance metrics, providing you with a safe journey experience and offering the most cost-effective vehicle maintenance, repair, and insurance offers through its partners.

We link your vehicle to the application by making it connectable with OBD2 technology. For data transfer, you just need to plug CarPAL’s smart CarPAL Connect into your car’s OBD socket. This allows you to view and report all real-time performance metrics of your vehicle.

Once you download and set up the CarPAL app, it requires you to drive your vehicle for a minimum of 5 hours with the app open. After accumulating at least 5 hours of driving experience and points, the app allows you to access the best technical service and insurance offers tailored for you and your car on the “Best Offers” screen.

The installation of CarPAL Connect will be done for free after receiving services from our technical services. Additionally, if you purchase the device, it will come with an installation guide for you to easily install and set it up yourself.

You can purchase the CarPAL device from https://fixpal.usecarpal.io. Also, when purchasing any technical service product or service through CarPAL, it will be installed and delivered to your vehicle address for free.

You can completely mute CarPAL by using the “Lower the volume” feature in the settings. If I am dissatisfied with the service I purchased through CarPAL, where should I apply for a refund?
You can log into your FleetPal account and select the “I want to return CarPal Connect” option to return it within 30 days of purchase. The payment will be refunded to your account within 3 business days upon receipt of the shipment.

CarPAL determines the discount rates in all the offers it provides by combining two calculated scores using a specific algorithm:

  • Vehicle condition score: Derived from the performance indicators collected from your vehicle through CarPAL Connect.

Driver score: Based on specific parameters observed during all your journeys.

  • Both are included in the PalScore calculation, which offers you a discount range. The healthier your vehicle and journeys, the higher the discount possibility.

As a CarPAL app user, you don’t need to purchase a device. Just activating the app while driving is enough to enjoy certain discounts. However, if you buy the device, you’ll not only benefit from insurance discounts but also receive more discounts on technical service products and services. The healthier your vehicle, the more discounts you can get, and owning the device plays a part in this.

CarPAL allows you to return any suggested product or service after purchase. The return process is possible only if the product or service has not been used. If it’s an unused product other than periodic maintenance, the payment will be refunded to your credit card within 3 business days. If a product has been used and a problem arises, it can only be replaced under the supplier’s warranty.

CarPAL Connect is an FCC, ISO, and ROHS certified product that does not damage the vehicle’s electronics. As per the 2007 Block Exemption Regulation, you can use CarPAL Connect or similar certified devices in your vehicle. However, authorized services may claim that your car’s warranty is void. This is a corporate approach and has no legal basis in consumer law. Consumer trials showed that 99% of decisions were in favor of consumers. Our recommendation is not to use the CarPAL device if your car’s warranty is still valid. You can comfortably use it for years once the warranty has expired.

CarPAL Connect does not install any software and does not disrupt the originality of your car.

After obtaining CarPAL Connect, we recommend carefully reading the installation guide that comes with it. The installation process is straightforward and simple; you can easily mount it on your car.

CarPAL Connect is designed for Bluetooth on Android phones and Wi-Fi for iPhone phones. This is due to the permissions each operating system grants to applications. If you’re using an Android phone, you need to allow CarPAL to use Bluetooth, if you’re using an iPhone, you need to keep the Wi-Fi feature on. This way, CarPAL Connect will collect more points for you and provide more discounts.

CarPAL never shares your location information with anyone. If used by a fleet driver, it allows tracking by the fleet manager. If you activate the “Ghost Mode” feature in the settings, CarPAL won’t show where you are even if it’s open. While in Ghost Mode, CarPAL continues to use the GPS feature and can still collect points for you. Please don’t turn off the GPS feature; only in this way can CarPAL continue to collect points for you.
